One thing I see happen all the time is people losing steam when we’re looking at the long term of healthier habits and behavior change. Weight loss is hard, this isn’t anything new.
We start with gusto, motivated and determined. But slowly as life trickles in and demands on your time shift – what once felt certain and easy around diet and lifestyle changes, suddenly feels like the last thing you want to tackle on that growing to-do list
How do we still find ‘wins’ when perhaps the number on the scale isn’t moving, bloodwork results aren’t budging and the monotony of cooking and exercise begins to wear on our tired AF shoulders? Revive’s Reform in Four Process looks at all this, but for those of you who aren’t my clients – what’s next?
Look, plateaus happen. It’s all part of the process. Some weeks, life is going to get in the way. So how do we continue to feel successful even when our benchmarks are telling us otherwise? We find other benchmarks in the meantime. That’s what we do.
(Brought to you by my clients)
Mindset Reframe – ‘I’m no longer using food for reward/punishment, I view getting ice cream with friends as just part of my routine now’
Healthy Take-Out Choices – ‘I skipped the fried food and went for lean proteins, vegetables and whole grains’
Stronger In the Gym – ‘I’m lifting double the amount of weight in the gym compared to when I started’
Being More Prepared for Busy Work Weeks – ‘I’ve started looking ahead at more chaotic weeks, tapping into grocery delivery services when needed, making sure my kitchen is stocked with quick, healthy choices’
Enjoy Exercise More – ‘I find myself happier in exercise/movement. Yoga, dance classes, Zumba – they bring me joy. Exercise used to feel like toture, not any more!’
Hell yeah. Wanna talk? Book an intro call now.
